The CorCell Process
When you choose to participate with CorCell through your insurer's
or employer's unique initiative with us, you are making sure that your
baby's umbilical cord blood is being collected and preserved the right
way, every step of the way. In order to get a good yielding collection, the cord blood retrieval procedure must be simple, safe and reliable for the health care provider to perform. When it comes to transportation,
be sure your shipment is handled by a medical courier accustomed to
handling temperature and time-sensitive biological material. Our processing
procedures are reviewed and accredited by the American Association of
Blood Banks (AABB). Finally, for storage, your cord blood sample is saved in our licensed and accredited, state of the art facility with around the clock monitoring.
